Yes. We assign dogs by availability and location of your dog handler, so you and your doggie will have the same dog handler every day. While we assign a primary dog handler, we work in teams, so that if your handler is on vacation or is sick, we have another dog pro to fill their place. You are always welcome to meet a new dog walker who will be caring for your fur baby.
Our goal is to keep your dog and ourselves safe at all times. We believe that every dog is a treasured member of the family. However, not all dogs are suitable candidates. The temperament of each animal, regardless of prior history, will be evaluated at the initial consultation and up to one week after. This helps us determine temperament, habits, and play styles and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone on that basis. You know your dog best; so please inform us if you have any doubts about his/her ability to deal with strangers or other animals.
When you sign up for regularly weekday playgroups, we reserve that time slot for your pup only. We ask clients to cancel playgroups before 8PM, a cancellation fee will be charged as we also accommodate last minute appointments for existing clients and have an ongoing wait list of prospective clients.
Dogyard LLC is closed for business on the following holidays: Christmas Eve thru New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Day After Thanksgiving (Friday)
We require that your pet have up-to-date vaccinations, including but not limited to, rabies, combination shots and bordetella, before services can be rendered at our location. Please have proof of vaccination(s) available for review if requested. We recommend that pets be on regular flea treatment. Please speak with your veterinarian for the best suggestions.
Puppies are excluded from this policy until old enough to be spayed or neutered
Dogyard LLC requires collars during playgroups. Collars must fit properly and have all proper tags. No prong collars are allowed during playgroups to help prevent accidents.
Since we have an outdoor play area all year round, poor weather and consistent rainy days may cause playgroups to be canceled. If so you will be notified and be given the option of our rainy day walk we offer.
Last minute cancelations fees will apply after 8am the day of.
Dogyard LLC requires 2 copies of your house key. Along with a garage code if available. Alarm codes included as well.
Dogyard LLC will be closed if the Federal Government is closed for weather related events. If the Federal Government is open but public schools in your district are closed due to inclement weather, you can call us by 9:00 AM the day of the visit to cancel the playgroup or relief walk without charge. Dogyard LLC will make all reasonable attempts to drive safely to your home and care for your pets as soon as possible in inclement weather. However, we strongly recommend that you give a house key to a trustworthy neighbor in case roads are closed, dangerous or impassable due to ice, snow, floods, etc. Dogyard LLC reserves the right to cancel visits if walkers are unable to safely reach your home. The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, altered or cancelled due to circumstances.
We use an online management system called Petcheck Technology for all of our scheduling, invoicing and record-keeping needs. Upon starting services each client is assigned a username and password which they can use to access the system. They have the option of altering their dog’s appointments, requesting schedule changes or viewing their payment history.
Occasionally, our staff members get sick or request time off. We will always let you know that your walker has requested time off in advance. Dogyard LLC is allowed 2 weeks vacation per year aside from holiday vacations if we so choose. If a scheduled company vacation occurs you will be notified at least 1 month in advance and be responsible for making other temporary arrangements until Dogyard LLC is available to provide services again. We will do our best to provide services for you in the event of a staff member sick day. We have the right to let you know by 9 pm the night before if we will not be able to provide services the following day. If able to, we cannot guarantee you will have the same substitute walker or playgroup each time, however, we make sure that each substitute is prepared. All of our staff members are bonded and insured through the company, and will always have a copy of your dog’s profile sheet so that he or she can keep the routine consistent and give your dog a great visit. The regular cancellation and scheduling policies still apply.
Any damages your dog is responsible for whether to a vehicle, property, staff member, non-staff member or another dog in our care or not, is completely your responsibility. Dogyard LLC will do everything in it’s power to prevent such occurrences but in any case we are not to be held responsible for any damages your dog causes. You will be notified and proper repercussions will be made.
